The World from the Eyes of a Vizsla

Diagnosed with “Lethargy”

My mom has diagnosed me with “lethargy”.  She told me I had a horrible case of it, especially when it’s dark outside.  I don’t want to do anything.  If she wants to run in the dark, lethargy hits me hard.  I lay down in the middle of the street.  The Sun seems to be a cure, sure enough when day breaks, and the squirrels begin to scurry, my “lethargy” seems to go away for a while.  The Sun gives me such energy, I burst with it, I go all out at 100 mph.  I have “Vizsla moments”  in which I love to run in circles.  Wow is it fun!  I love to run with mom, we go for miles.  When we get home I swim, eat, and then “lethargy” takes over once again.  Is there a cure for this “lethargy”?  Mom, isn’t sure if it’s “lethargy”, “laziness”, or “stubbornness”.    I don’t know, they all sound “bad”!  Think about what I could do without this “lethargy”!

Winston, don’t feel so bad. Your cousin Zulu has bouts of it also. Especially when her momma puts on her running shoes. Then it hits. For her, it is usually cured by a flying tennis ball or frisbee going through the air.
